Data security and privacy statement

This statement explains what personal data Kupper Software (“we”) processes, why, and for how long. It covers two separate things:
- Our apps on the Atlassian Marketplace.
- Our website and support (kuppersoftware.com and e-mail).
1. Our apps
1.1. Cloud apps
Our Cloud apps run entirely on Atlassian’s cloud platform (Forge, “Runs on Atlassian”). We operate no servers, the apps send no data outside Atlassian, and we have no access to the data they store.
No app stores names, e-mail addresses, passwords or API tokens. Data an app stores is used only to provide that app’s features to the customer.

Settings that a macro saves in a page are stored with the page by Confluence, not by the app.
Where it is stored: in Atlassian’s Forge hosted storage, run by Atlassian on Amazon Web Services (AWS). It follows the customer’s Atlassian data residency setting: if the site is pinned to a location (USA, EU, Germany, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Canada, Australia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea or India), app data is stored there. Otherwise it is stored in Atlassian’s global hosting regions.
Retention and deletion:
- Data is kept while the app is installed.
- When the app is uninstalled, Atlassian deletes its stored data according to Atlassian’s data retention schedule. Anything saved in Confluence pages (macro settings, the RSVP encrypted copy) stays with the customer’s pages until they are deleted.
- To have their data deleted, users contact their site administrator, who controls it. Administrators can delete it by uninstalling the app.
1.2. Data Center apps
Data Center apps run on the customer’s own infrastructure. They send no data to us, and we never receive or store it.
2. Our website and support
What we collect:
- Website: Google Analytics collects anonymised usage data (pages visited, browser, approximate location) through cookies.
- Support: when you contact us, your name, e-mail address and message.
- Licensing: the licence and contact details that the Atlassian Marketplace shares with app vendors.
Why: to answer support requests, manage licences, improve our products and, with your consent, inform you of important product changes.
Retention: Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Support correspondence is kept for up to 2 years after the last contact, then deleted.
Deletion: e-mail info@kuppersoftware.com to have your data deleted. We respond within 30 days.
